AIRPORT

Bologna’s international Guglielmo Marconi Airport (G. Marconi Airport) is located approximately 7 km/4 miles northwest of the city center.

Airport to Venue (Palazzo Re Enzo)

A taxi drive from the airport to the venue is approximately 11 km/7 miles. In average traffic, your journey should take approximately 15 minutes and cost between €15–20 (us$16–22).

The hotel for the 2015 GTNF, the Royal Hotel Carlton, is only a four minute walk (1.2 km) from the venue, on Via dell’Indipendenza.

GROUND TRAVEL

Airport Bus: A special airport shuttle bus, the Linea BLQ, departs every 15 minutes from outside the arrivals hall, heading for the city center and the railway station.
The bus service runs from 05:30 to 01:15 and costs just 6 euros per person; tickets don’t need to be bought in advance. The journey should take about 25–30 minutes depending on traffic. The bus makes a convenient stop on Via dell’Indipendenza (Grand Hotel Majestic and I Portici Hotel are on this street), very close to Piazza Maggiore and the event venue. Royal Hotel Carlton is on Via Montebello, which runs parallel to Via Indipendenza.

Taxis:
Taxis are available outside the airport. The journey to your hotels and the venue will cost around 20 euros and should take about 10–15 minutes by taxi. As the journey is a short one, a private car service is not recommended; however, if you wish to arrange such a service, please contact us and we will do our best to organize this for you.

Car Hire:
Avis, Hertz and other major rental car providers are represented at the airport. Non-EU drivers will need to present an international driving licence.
